FURNITURE POLISH

Instead of spending top dollar for pricey furniture sprays and polishes, save money and enjoy greater peace of mind by whipping up your own solutions at home. These simple recipes contain ingredients you likely already have around the house, along with some essential oils that increase their efficiency while leaving an enjoyable fragrance behind.
Dusting Spray
YIELD: 8 OUNCES
STORAGE: PLASTIC SPRAY BOTTLE
TIME: 5 MINUTES
Treat wood furniture right with this fragrant dusting spray. With olive oil for shine and to protect wood from moisture, it contains essential oils to disinfect and impart fragrance.
¼ cup white vinegar
¾ cup olive oil
20 drops lavender essential oil
20 drops peppermint essential oil
1.In a plastic spray bottle, combine all the ingredients.
2.Shake well before each use.
3.Spray directly onto wood furniture or onto a soft cloth. Wipe to remove dust and grime.
4.For heavily soiled furniture, allow the polish to sit for 1 minute before wiping.
5.Store in a cool, dark place.
Lemon–Rosemary Furniture Polish
YIELD: 12 OUNCES
STORAGE: PLASTIC SPRAY BOTTLE
TIME: 5 MINUTES
If you love the fragrance of lemon furniture polish, you’ll appreciate this all-natural version. It moisturizes wood while leaving a lovely shine and a pleasant lemon scent behind.
1 cup olive oil
½ cup lemon juice
20 drops lemon essential oil
5 drops rosemary essential oil
1.In a spray bottle, combine all the ingredients.
2.Shake well before each use.
3.Spray the cleaner onto a soft cloth. Wipe the furniture with the cloth, then use a second cloth to polish to a shine.
4.For heavily soiled furniture, allow the polish to sit for 1 minute before wiping.
5.Store in a cool, dark place.
