PREGNANCY SUMMARY
Mannitol is an osmotic diuretic. No reports of its use in pregnancy following IV administration have been located. Mannitol, given by intra-amniotic injection, has been used to induce abortion (1).
BREASTFEEDING SUMMARY
No reports describing the use of mannitol during human lactation have been located.
