PREGNANCY SUMMARY
Methazolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor used in glaucoma to lower intraocular pressure. No reports describing the use of methazolamide in human pregnancy have been located. The drug is teratogenic in some animal species (1). (See also ACETAZOLAMIDE)
